TIME traVel vaCation
So I've always had this wack-job idea (no doubt culled from my sci-fi crazy dad) that one day, WHEN time-travel vacations are possible, I'll go back to some eras that seemed cool and taste what it was like. My top 3:
- 70s Manhattan (the disco era, Studio 54, triple X Times Square)
- 30s Harlem (Countee, Langston et al)
- 40s Trinidad (to see my grandmother at her most ascendant)
My wishes have heretofore been more location-centric, but given my long-running lack of companionship, I've now crossed over to the idea of time-travel sex- tourism. My latest fantastic foray centers around a clip I saw today of a young, young MIck Jagger at the studio recording, broadcast live worldwide, of the Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" (who knew?) back in 1967. His lips were just so luscious, he was so obviously in his prime... mmmm. And what about Henry the 8th of England? Maybe a strong black woman was what was required to keep his philandering ass in line.
And what about you, my one, my only gentle reader? What's your time-travel vaca fantasy?
Holla back at a sister....

I'd go back in time to see my favorites in their prime... Bobby Orr skating in Boston Garden, Guy Lafleur and the 1977 Canadiens in the Montreal Forum... John F. Kennedy in 1959 and Pierre Trudeau in 1968. Django Reinhardt at the Hot Club in Paris in 1934... Maybe finish up over an ale with Sam Adams in 1770 Boston.
For real... get a look at some real heroes for a change. Pure speech and no steroids...
